Brendan Kane is the Founder and Managing Director of BFS Nationwide, a UK-based fabrication company specialising in innovative solutions for construction, the marine sector, bespoke manufacturing and environmental protection.

Originally from Ireland, Brendan began his career as a young apprentice in precision engineering, where he developed the technical skills and problem-solving mindset that continue to guide his work today.

With over two decades of experience in business leadership and project delivery, Brendan has shaped BFS around a culture of creativity, precision, and reliability. Under his guidance, the company has expanded steadily while maintaining its reputation for high-quality service and attention to detail. Every project is carefully overseen either by Brendan himself or under the close supervision of the Operations Manager, ensuring accountability at every stage.

Driven by innovation, Brendan also established BFS Workboats, a sister company dedicated to the design and manufacture of durable HDPE vessels. This initiative reflects his passion for combining practical design with forward-thinking solutions that stand the test of time.

Joanna oversees finance and administration, drawing on 30+ years in retail and hospitality. She ensures smooth operations and builds strong client relationships.

Joanna oversees finance, accounts, and the overall administration of the business. Originally from Newcastle, Joanna has over 30 years of experience in retail and hospitality, giving her a strong foundation in both financial management and customer service.

Joanna is known for her attention to detail and organizational skills, and plays a key role in keeping the business running smoothly and efficiently while upholding high standards of professionalism.

Joanna works alongside her husband, Brendan Kane, the founder of BFS Nationwide, and together they continue to drive the company’s growth and success.

​Trish has oversight of HR, Communications and Systems at BFS Nationwide. Bringing over 25 years of experience in human service management across the UK, Ireland, and Australia. Trish has spent more than two decades in service management roles, building her career around developing effective management systems, supporting people, developing teams, and fostering positive workplace cultures.

• Lyndsey Davis - Office Administrator – BFS Nationwide
   

Lyndsey is the Office Administrator at BFS Nationwide, bringing over 15 years’ experience from across industries ranging from small businesses to larger-scale manufacturing companies. With a strong background in administration and operations, Lyndsey plays a vital role in supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the business.

In this role, Lyndsey manages office systems and processes, coordinates schedules and communications, maintains records and documentation, and provides additional support to staff generally. Lyndsey is a central point of contact for staff, clients, and suppliers, helping to ensure the business runs efficiently and effectively.

 

• Sam Major  - CAD Designer - BFS Nationwide
   

Sam is an experienced CAD Designer with a strong foundation in the steel and HDPE fabrication sectors. Skilled in producing accurate technical drawings, detailed 3D models, and fabrication-ready designs, Sam has a solid understanding of manufacturing processes, geometrics, and industry standards and is known for adapting design skills across materials and supporting projects from concept through to production.
